Rituals of Strength VI

1. Circus Dumbbell and Keg Medley. Athlete will have 60 sec. to complete as many reps as possible. Can start with either implement and must alternate. Cannot repeat the same implement 2x in a row. Athlete must wait for a down command after pressing. In order to receive a down command weight must be secured over head with elbow(s) lockout out and feet parallel and in full control. Each implement must be guided down to the ground to designated crash pad. An intentional drop from overhead is a ZERO. Elbows sleeves, wrist wraps, belts, knee sleeves, and chalk allowed.

 

2. Tire Deadlift for reps. Athlete will use deadlift bar and stand on a 2” platform. Athlete will have 60 sec. to complete as many reps as possible. You will be given UP and DOWN commands for each rep. In order to receive an up command both tires need to be motionless on the ground. To receive a down command hips and knees are locked out and shoulders are behind the bar. NO SUMO. Belts, wrist straps, elbow sleeves, knees sleeves and chalk are allowed. No deadlift suits or briefs allowed.

 

3. Zercher Deadlift MAX. Athlete will have 3 attempts, Wessels rules. You miss you are out. You pick your weight attempts. Have 30 seconds to the time of the start to try to lift the weight. SUMO DEADLIFT IS ALLOWED to get the weight into Zercher position. Athlete can Zecher deadlift from the floor if they choose. Lifter will receive a down command when they stand up with the hips and knees fully locked out and they are in complete control. Dropping from this position is allowed. STRAPS and TACKY ARE NOT ALLOWED Belt, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, and chalk are allowed. 

 

Weight selections

Women –125, any 10lb increment after that

Weight selection Men – 160, 180, 200, 210, 230, 250, 270, 290, 300, 320, 340, 360, 380, 390, 410, 430, 450, 470, 480, 500, 520, 540, 560, 570, 590, 610, 630, 650, 660, 680, 700, 720, 740, 750

 

4. 100’ Farmers Walk. Athlete will have 60sec. to walk 100’. Front end of both handles must cross the finish line. ONLY 1 drop is allowed. Distance will be measured from the handle that is the closest to the start line. Belt, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, are allowed. TACKY and/or STRAPS not allowed.

 

5. Sandbag to Shoulder MAX. Rising Bar format. Athletes will have 3 attempts to lift the heaviest weight. Each attempt they will have 30 seconds to try to complete the lift. In order to get a down a down command athlete must have the bag on one shoulder with the opposite hand off the bag. Knees and hips are lockout out athlete can display full control of the implement. Athlete must guide the bag down on to designated crash pad.
